Public meeting held to gather input on West Millcreek development

(Millcreek Journal) -- Though the intent was to gather input from community members about what they want to see happen in an area in West Millcreek, ideas and suggestions were limited to infrastructure issues at a public meeting held on the issue at the Salt Lake County Government Center on June 22.

Consultants from the architectural planning and urban design company, Cooper Roberts Simonsen Associates, are working with analysts from Lewis Young Robertson & Burningham on the project area plan for the area in West Millcreek that has been designated as blighted. As part of the planning process, they held the public meeting in hopes of gathering public input and had a large turnout of community members and property owners.

It was determined back in May that the area within the boundaries of 3900 South to 4500 South on the north and south sides and from State Street to the boundary of I-15 on the east and west may benefit from economic development.
